Customer Service at Dog Boarding Facility at Dogwoods Lodge – Grimes, Iowa

You must be able to work some shifts during the week in addition to some shifts on the weekends.
This is not a weekend only or a Monday-Friday only position.
Shift times:
Weekdays 6:00 am-12:30 pm and 1:45-6:30 pm
Sat 7:30-11:30 am and 3:30-6:30 pm
Sun 2:30-6:30 pm

We are currently seeking permanent part-time staff.
Part-time staff usually work between 15-30 hours per week,
and need to be available to work every weekend,
though they may not be scheduled for all three shift times each weekend.
Employees must also be able to work around holidays, as we are a 365 day/year business.

Applicants need to be at least 18 years old.

Once out of training, wage will increase to $14.65/hr.
Starting wage until out of training is $12.65/hr.
Training typically takes about 3 weeks.
At 3 months of employment, you will begin to receive tips from the tip pool through your paycheck,
and will be eligible for a performance based raise.
Dog-related benefits included, such as discounted or free services.

Candidates must have a love for working with people and dogs,
and must be able to conduct themselves with poise under pressure.
Solid multitasking, attention to detail, phone and computer skills are a must.
Much of the job entails answering questions and taking reservations;
in person, over the phone, by email, or via text.
The candidate must be okay with some physical duties; such as:
sitting, standing promptly, bending,
fast walking (to retrieve dogs),
guiding dogs of all sizes on leash,
daily cleaning tasks, etc.
