Job Summary:

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Energetics Operator I to support energetic production efforts. The Manufacturing Operator I is an entry-level role focused on basic machine operation, material handling, and visual inspection under close supervision. The role emphasizes learning standard work, following instructions, and building fundamental skills in safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate assigned machines or workstations following standard work and work instructions.
  • Load/unload parts or materials, perform simple checks, and separate nonconforming product.
  • Complete basic production paperwork or electronic ERP/MES entries (counts, lot numbers, time, etc.).
  • Keep work area clean and organized; follow safety rules, PPE requirements, and 5S practices.
  • Notify the technician, lead, or supervisor of equipment problems, quality issues, or safety concerns.
  • Participate in training and cross‑training to learn additional operations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing environments and safe work practices.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, procedures, and batch records.
  • Strong attention to detail in working with controlled materials.
  • Willingness to learn explosive safety and manufacturing procedures.
  • Basic computer or data entry familiarity.
  • Reliable attendance, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including:
    • Be 21 years of age or older.
    • Pass pre-employment drug test.
    • Pass State and Federal background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and six sigma methodologies
