Summary/Objective:
The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and supports day-to-day manufacturing operations across multiple production lines. This role assists in coordinating production activities to ensure lines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Works closely with the Shift Supervisors, Quality Control, Operations, and Maintenance to plan work, set production targets, and ensure finished products meet established quality, food safety, and operational requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily production activities across multiple production lines, including sequencing work orders and adjusting schedules to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations.
- Enter, maintain, and update work orders within the production scheduling system while preparing and communicating production schedules for upcoming shifts.
- Oversee production startup activities and monitor line performance throughout the shift, making real-time adjustments as needed to meet production goals.
- Maintain open communication with Customer Service and Quality Control to ensure all changes to work orders, specifications, and production requirements are accurately implemented.
- Oversee the production, packaging, and shipment of product samples in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.
- Create and manage back orders while supporting inventory accuracy through coordination of production-related inventory adjustments.
- Partner with Human Resources to support staffing initiatives by reviewing and adjusting daily labor allocation to meet production demands, identifying staffing gaps, and reassigning personnel as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and compliant employee timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll support in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support employee performance management by providing coaching, addressing performance concerns, documenting issues, and partnering with Human Resources on employee relations matters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety standards, GMPs, and regulatory requirements by monitoring conditions on the floor, addressing incidents, and supporting investigations and corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production, safety, and operational objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in a food production environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems, including production scheduling and timekeeping software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of quality standards, GMPs, and food safety practices.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and operational procedures.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing production demands.
Work Schedule: The shift for this role begins at 5am EST
Salary Range: $57,000 - $89,000 annually plus bonus
