Responsibilities:
- Oversee staffing, safety, training, and performance evaluations for the Grounds and Maintenance departments.
- Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facilities maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment conditions and building systems to support uninterrupted operations, and develop short ? and long ? term maintenance, renovation, and remodeling plans.
- Coordinate and manage contracted maintenance and renovation projects, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facility upgrades, while maintaining project timelines and Gantt charts.
- Oversee architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for large-scale capital and contracted projects.
- Coordinates required inspections, permits, and licenses for the physical plant, including elevators, fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and general safety and code compliance.
- Conduct regular facility and grounds inspections to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance, curb appeal, and overall condition of the property.
- Prepare cost estimates and provide recommendations for urgent repairs, with focus on life safety, health, visual standards, and preventive maintenance.
- Update and maintain AutoCAD drawings to reflect facility modifications and improvements.
- Organize and manage overall maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders, quality turnover/make ? ready schedules, inventory control, and cost ? effective purchasing.
- Manage and maintain service contracts and equipment warranties.
- Diagnose and perform minor and routine repairs, ensuring all service requests are completed promptly and professionally daily.
- Participate in the development and administration of company policies, long-term departmental goals, and operational objectives.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff with emphasis on customer service, hospitality, safety, and procedural compliance, adjusting staffing levels as needed.
- Ensure all work and training meet Casino standards, OSHA regulations, and established safety procedures.
- Lead the coordination and oversight of all safety and code compliance requirements enforced by governing agencies.
- Create, implement, and evaluate training programs and safety initiatives for department staff.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the Grounds and Maintenance department budget.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Exceptional guest service skills required.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and related programs required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- At least five (5) years experience specializing in maintenance of a large commercial facility or physical plant; or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to facility or property management.
- At least five (5) years supervisory/managerial experience in a small to mid-size company with the ability to manage staff in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Previous experience in supervising and managing schedules on construction projects. Experience working with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of technical aspects of facility or property management along with
- Knowledge of equipment and purchasing requirements.
- Ability to prepare complex reports, correspondence, charts, layouts, forms, handbooks, memoranda and other information and instructions with strong mathematical skills.
- Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Salary: $90K-$105K annually
