This role is responsible for leading and optimizing the operations of a distributed team of highly specialized technical engineers supporting enterprise customers across the U.S. and Canada. The position plays a key role in ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality technical consulting services, including workshops, risk assessments, remediation planning, and business continuity support. You will oversee team performance, operational efficiency, and service quality while fostering a strong culture of engagement and continuous improvement. The role requires a balance of people leadership, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and driving adherence to key operational standards. This is a high-impact leadership position that directly influences customer satisfaction, team performance, and overall program success.
- Lead and manage a distributed team of technical engineers, ensuring consistent service delivery across enterprise customer engagements
- Oversee onboarding, training, and accreditation of new hires while supporting ramp-up to full productivity
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to improve individual and team effectiveness
- Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and operational benchmarks across all team activities
- Analyze performance data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Implement process updates, policy changes, and training initiatives through structured change management practices
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, including expense reporting, approvals, and operational controls
- Drive initiatives to improve team morale, reduce attrition, and enhance overall employee engagement
- Partner with leadership to design and execute operational improvements that increase efficiency and service quality
- Support hiring efforts by interviewing and evaluating prospective team members
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in operations or program management leading remote or distributed teams of 15+ individuals
- Proven track record of improving operational performance through process optimization and KPI/SLA management
- Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical teams
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Experience working with performance metrics, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to manage change initiatives and implement process improvements in complex environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset
