We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor of Operations based in Pueblo West, CO.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Supervisor of Operations provides leadership, direction, and oversight for field service operations, including service technicians, line locators, and the leak survey program. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while supporting daily field activities, emergency response, and regulatory requirements. The position oversees workforce performance, training, and development, and ensures adherence to company policies, industry standards, and federal and state regulations governing natural gas distribution.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, organizing, and providing operational and administrative direction and supervision for service technician functions including leak surveys, locates, periodic meter changes, dig monitors, and the performance of daily orders and emergency response. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws such as assigning and directing work; providing training; appraising performance; rewarding and providing corrective action to direct report(s) when needed; resolving employee issues; providing input for budgeting.Directly supervise employees in daily activities.Must pass required field evaluations and tests for continuing NG education (DOT Operational Qualifications).Prepare reports for leadership and attend meetings as requested.Maintain appropriate inventory of materials and tools needed for maintenance, operations, and special projects.Keep accurate records of any monetary transactions.Assist in developing short- and long-range plans and budgets.Maintain a clean company vehicle with the highest standards.Practice and demonstrate safety procedures. Assist and support additional departments in the absence of their supervisors.On call rotation for call out shared with the field employees.Ability to turn calls, gas leaks, carbon monoxide calls, line locates, meter sets, etc.Ability to obtain OQ Qualifications PE Fusion Certifications.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or equivalent.Completion of all Operations Qualifications Training as well as current in all relevant natural gas training and/or certifications.Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in one of the following: gas and/or electric operations, accounting, engineering, or related field, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a supervisor or manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Advanced ability to perform all duties associated with maintaining a natural gas distribution system.Ability to operate and maintain a motor vehicle.Ability to train employees in the operation, maintenance, and safety of a natural gas system.Demonstrates professional and ethical behavior.Knowledgeable of federal and state regulations that apply to the gas distribution industry including but not limited to the Department of Transportation/Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills must be exhibited at all times.Models’ leadership by example.Comfortable working within the Microsoft Office suite of computer programsStrong time management skills to meet company objectives.Skilled in the performance of mechanical and electrical work required.Effective people skills needed to assist customers and effectively represent the Company within the communities we serve.

Salary based on experience - $36.00 to $45.00 USD Hourly
