We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong technical depth and an engineering mindset to support data-driven decision-making across our programs. This role blends advanced analytics with data engineering fundamentals and will play a critical role in identifying, integrating, and transforming complex data sources—particularly within the VA healthcare and government data ecosystem.The ideal candidate is highly curious, proactive, and comfortable working across the full data lifecycle: from locating and exploring raw data sources to building scalable datasets, dashboards, and analytical models that drive mission outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
Designing, building, and maintaining analytical datasets to support reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, transform, and manage large datasets across multiple data sources.
Using Python for data processing, automation, and AI/analytics use cases
Proactively exploring and identifying new data sources—particularly within VA and healthcare environments—to expand analytical capabilities
Developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows to integrate, transform, and model data for reporting and advanced analytics
Partnering with Program Management, Engineering, and other business units to understand requirements and deliver accurate, actionable insights
Ensuring data quality, integrity, documentation, and adherence to data governance best practicesUsing Python for data processing, automation, and AI/analytics use cases
What you’ll bring:
5–7 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a closely related technical role
Strong experience with SQL and relational database technologies
Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI
Proficiency with Python for analytics, automation, and AI-related workflows
A proactive, curiosity-driven mindset with the ability to independently explore data and uncover meaningful insight
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Nice to Have:
Experience with data integration and orchestration tools such as SSIS, Axure Data Factory, or Databricks
Familiarity with Oracle Health, or healthcare data environments
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures
Prior experience working with the government, VA, or healthcare-related datasets
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

Bachelor’s degree
