Role Purpose
The IT Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure and end-user computing environments. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and end-user devices while providing hands-on support for day-to-day IT issues. The IT Technician manages Active Directory, server environments, network security, and IT asset registers, as well as supporting business-critical industrial IT applications. The position works collaboratively across departments to maintain high standards of IT service delivery, supporting both office and industrial environments. Key Responsibilities
• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and IT-related issues (desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals).
• Create and maintain Active Directory user and computer accounts, ensuring accurate access control.
• Maintain and monitor server environments, performing daily and weekly checks on server room equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues (TCP/IP, subnets, DNS) and provide firewall management.
• Support day-to-day business applications and handle user queries.
• Ensure uptime and security of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and associated applications.
• Maintain technical documentation for existing IT services and systems.
• Support and implement IT infrastructure and network projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Maintain onsite IT asset registers and ensure IT inventory accuracy.
• Ensure all IT issues are logged in the Helpdesk system and resolved within agreed timelines.
• Perform operating system upgrades and patch management for all Windows environments.
• Provide general infrastructure support, including occasional out-of-hours or remote assistance as needed.
• Support and maintain industrial IT systems (DCS/SCADA, industrial ethernet, field buses, OSIsoft PI, CCTV platforms).
• Assist with cloud-based networking and distributed IT systems.
Education & Certifications
• Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Industry certifications (A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE, or similar) highly valued.

Technical Qualifications
• 2–5 years’ experience as IT Technician, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers and operating systems.
• Proven experience with server management, Active Directory, and network infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud-based networking and remote IT support.
• Working knowledge of network security, firewalls, and access controls.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA, field buses, industrial networks) and CCTV platforms.
• Strong experience in maintaining IT asset registers and technical documentation.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
