About This Position

Description:

The Grenon School of Business at Assumption University seeks a non-tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice of Sport Marketing beginning in August 2026. This position includes teaching sport marketing and management courses and developing a proposed sport marketing major (including internship opportunities).

SCOPE:

The Grenon School of Business and the Department of Marketing and Organizational Communication seek a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice in Sport Marketing, beginning August 2026. This is a nine-month, non-tenure-track, multi-year, renewable appointment with an initial term of three years. The faculty member will teach in-person, on-campus classes in the sport programs and promote experiential learning opportunities. The faculty member may also be called upon to teach other marketing and sales-related courses. In addition, they will contribute to the sport program curriculum by developing a proposed major in sport marketing and developing new courses in sport marketing. Advising sport marketing and management students and developing internship opportunities are also expected.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Significant experience in the sports industry.
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships within the local and regional sport industry to develop internship opportunities.
  • Willingness to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University
