3rd Shift Line Operator at Flexaust Inc – Warsaw, Indiana

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Set-up FT line extruders and hose machines

2. Operate FT line extruders and hose machines

3. Troubleshoot FT line extruders and hose machines

4. Keep area safe and clean

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant; will be required to wear personal protective equipment per policy and may be requested to work overtime per production schedule.

Qualifications:

1. Must be able to lift 55 pounds consistently.

2. The ability to read and write in English.

3. Capability of meeting production standards and exceeding established standards on occasion during normal production runs.

4. Ability to recognize quality and production issues and make decisions or communicate them to management.

5. Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machinery, blue prints and skilled in the use of light industrial equipment.

Typical Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

1. Operates FT mandrel machines and extruders to produce mandrel hoses according to product specifications, utilizing the FT Line and some minor hand tools, cutters, cutting tools, and other production related peripherals.

2. Performs basic inspection and minor repair of Ft lines utilizing the applicable mentioned production peripherals.

3. Maintains consistent production output standards and records daily output on production log sheets according to department requirements and specifications.

4. Monitors machine operation.

5. Responsible for housekeeping and organization of your area and related areas in department.

6. Responsible for safe work area, including prompt reporting of any safety hazards to the safety committee or supervisor.

7. Performs any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required.
