Job Description

Serve as the senior technical bridge between customers, business development, product teams, engineering, and project execution. This role supports pre-sales solution development, technical proposals, compliance reviews, customer technical discussions, and field issue coordination to help win business and ensure successful deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical support leader for U.S. ESS customers and internal commercial teams.
  • Support pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, application assessment, solution definition, and customer requirement review.
  • Prepare or support technical proposals, compliance matrices, bid responses, and customer-facing technical presentations.
  • Translate application requirements into technically sound ESS solutions covering battery systems, PCS, EMS, HVAC, fire protection, controls, and integration scope.
  • Review RFPs/RFQs and identify technical risks, specification gaps, clarifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, consultants, EPCs, utilities, AHJs, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering and product teams on customizations, technical feedback, and product improvement recommendations.
  • Support factory acceptance, commissioning support, field troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action coordination when required.
  • Provide technical training to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Help develop standard technical documents, application notes, troubleshooting guides, and response templates.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of technical experience in ESS, battery systems, power systems, renewable integration, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of battery energy storage systems and related subsystems including BMS, PCS, EMS, thermal management, fire suppression, controls, and integration.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales, applications engineering, technical sales, field support, or system deployment in the U.S. market.
  • Ability to review specifications, single-line diagrams, technical bid packages, and project technical deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of system safety, commissioning, reliability, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel as required across the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with relevant U.S. ESS codes, standards, and certifications such as UL, NFPA, IEEE, and utility or customer technical requirements.
  • Experience with grid-connected ESS, microgrids, renewable-plus-storage systems, or data center backup / power quality applications.
  • Experience supporting utilities, developers, EPCs, or large commercial and industrial customers.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, SCADA/EMS integration, performance testing, and warranty support processes.

Annual salary + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
