ROLE OVERVIEW:

BOWA Construction is looking for a talented project director that has a personal and professional interest in executing management of construction on large construction projects. This individual will report to the Project Vice President and be responsible for implementing construction execution, processes and principles at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project currently in Texas.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignments to subordinate managers
  • Reviews objectives to determine success of operation
  • Develops, modifies, executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Oversee the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction
  • Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual’s direction on a day-to-day basis

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant role and leadership capacity in this field
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • CMAA Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • LEED Accredited Professional

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
