This role plays a critical part in shaping commercialization and market strategy for an oncology-focused portfolio, helping translate complex market data into actionable insights that guide strategic decision-making. You will lead the design and execution of primary market research initiatives, supporting both marketed products and pipeline assets across global hematology oncology. Working closely with cross-functional commercial, analytics, and strategy teams, you will ensure research outputs directly inform product planning, positioning, and launch strategies. The position requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, science-driven environment. You will also collaborate with external partners and vendors while ensuring high-quality, compliant research execution. - Lead the design, execution, and management of primary market research projects supporting both marketed and pipeline oncology assets.
- Identify and define key business questions, aligning stakeholders on objectives, methodologies, and actionable insights.
- Translate complex market research findings into strategic recommendations that inform commercialization, product strategy, and launch planning.
- Integrate primary research insights with secondary data, forecasting models, and commercial analytics to build a holistic market view.
- Conduct and oversee compliant market research activities while ensuring quality and consistency across studies.
- Analyze market data, including sizing and competitive assessments, to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure insights are effectively shared across global and cross-functional teams.
- Manage external vendors and research partners to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of research outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, or PhD) in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 5+ years in consulting, market research, or strategic analysis roles.
- Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, particularly within the U.S. healthcare market.
- Oncology experience, especially in launch or pre-launch environments, is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
- Experience with secondary data analysis and forecasting models is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional global teams is a strong advantage.
