This role is part of a highly technical engineering environment focused on delivering scalable, high-quality backend systems powered by modern cloud and AI-driven architectures. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and correctness of complex backend applications, with a strong emphasis on API and messaging-based systems. Working closely with agile squads, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing strategies, helping define and maintain high engineering quality standards. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on automation skills, and the ability to collaborate directly with developers, product teams, and clients. You will play a key role in building robust CI/CD quality pipelines and ensuring continuous testing practices across the delivery lifecycle. This is a dynamic environment where quality engineering is embedded into every stage of development.

You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining quality assurance processes for backend systems, ensuring reliability across APIs, messaging, and distributed architectures.

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for backend applications (APIs and messaging systems)
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks and tools
• Validate systems using messaging technologies such as SQS, SNS, and Kafka
• Define and apply testing strategies based on the testing pyramid model
• Perform performance testing using tools such as JMeter
• Ensure continuous testing integration within CI/CD pipelines
• Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and root cause analysis within agile squads
• Collaborate on user story refinement, ensuring clear functional and non-functional requirements
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution
• Support end-to-end, regression, and mutation testing strategies
• Work closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and engineering practices

You are a detail-oriented QA professional with strong automation skills and experience in backend testing within modern distributed systems.

• Experience in QA Automation or Software Testing roles with focus on backend systems
• Strong knowledge of API testing and messaging-based architectures (SQS, SNS, Kafka)
• Experience with test automation frameworks using .NET, Mockito, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
• Understanding of testing methodologies including regression, end-to-end, and mutation testing
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
• Familiarity with Docker and/or Podman and local development environments (e.g., LocalStack)
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and team collaboration practices
• Ability to interpret functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience working directly with clients or cross-functional stakeholders
• Exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted development/testing workflows is required
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
