Offload Operator at Cooke Aquaculture Inc. – Hermitage, Newfoundland and Labrador

Cold Ocean Salmon Inc., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company, with Platinum Member status in the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program, is offering an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s team as a Offload Operator in the Hermitage, NL. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

The Role:

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding to our team of professionals. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position’s primary duties will include,

communicate with the harvest vessel so the fish are unloaded/pumped from the vessel into the holding tanks in the plant.

Once the fish are in the tanks the Operator will, by using valves and pipes ensure the fish are transferred from the holding tanks into a dewatering hopper below. From this hopper the fish are fed into production.

Operate a forklift to lift/dump tubs of ice and fish

Manually shovel Ice

Attend to the ice house; remove full tubs and place empty in place

Move full tubs of offal and place empty in place

Training will be provided.
