About This Position

Gellert Global Group consists of many of the leading North American food importing companies (Atalanta Corporation, Camerican International, Finica, GGG Manufacturing) and has been importing food products for over 100 years. The combined revenues of GGG exceed $1.7 billion. GGG companies provide strength in sourcing, insurance, finance, logistics, food safety, and information technology, and supply the needs of retailers, distributors, food service chains, hotels, cruise lines, and food manufacturers alike.

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-driven Logistics Analyst to support our Import Compliance function. This role is critical to ensuring our organization meets all U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency requirements while maintaining seamless, on-time product flow.

As a key member of the Import Compliance team, you will evaluate the accuracy of import entries, lead classification initiatives, investigate issues, and deliver actionable insights that enhance operational integrity. You will collaborate closely with warehouses, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Support, and external partners to support compliant, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Support CTPAT compliance across facilities, partners, and processes, including procedural, physical, and personnel security requirements.
  • Maintain and administer risk assessments, Minimum Security Criteria (MSC), and warehouse security expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. import laws and internal compliance programs.
  • Lead a comprehensive HTS classification project and manage ongoing system accuracy for HTS and duty updates.
  • Review, verify, and validate partner data against Customs compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate entry packets—including valuation details, country-of-origin declarations, and all required documentation—in accordance with SOPs.
  • Investigate compliance discrepancies, identify root causes, and support implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and compliance bulletins, escalating significant changes to leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with compliance standards.
  • Improve, automate, and simplify import procedures to strengthen audit readiness and support scalable, compliant growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, preferred
  • Experience with import compliance programs, HTS classification, CTPAT, or other trade compliance frameworks, preferred
  • 5–7 years of experience in logistics, imports, international transportation, or supply chain operations, required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning, data validation).
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to pivot as needs change.
  • High level of professionalism, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
