This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a QA Engineer (iGaming) in Ireland.
This role focuses on ensuring both the functional quality and the player experience of interactive games, going beyond traditional QA to evaluate usability, clarity, and engagement. You will work on mobile and web-based gaming products, including casino-style and casual game mechanics, helping to shape how players interact with core gameplay systems. The environment is fully remote, flexible, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on ownership and independent thinking. You will be expected to assess not only whether features work as intended, but also whether they feel intuitive, engaging, and well-designed from a user perspective. This is a hands-on role where your feedback directly influences gameplay quality and product experience. You will collaborate closely with development teams in a fast-moving, game-focused production environment.
- Test game mechanics across different formats, including slots, crash games, and casual gameplay systems to ensure functional stability and correctness
- Execute structured testing of game modes, scenarios, and edge cases to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and performance issues
- Evaluate user experience aspects such as clarity, usability, interface logic, and overall player journey
- Assess gameplay quality, including pacing, engagement, intuitiveness, and overall feel from a player perspective
- Validate client-server interactions and ensure stability across different game environments and conditions
- Provide comprehensive feedback that includes not only bug reporting but also product-level insights on UX and gameplay improvements
Requirements:
- 1–2+ years of experience in QA testing for web or mobile applications
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including structured testing approaches and defect reporting
- Ability to evaluate products from both functional and user experience perspectives
- Basic understanding of UX and usability principles with a player-centric mindset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically and systematically
- Interest in games and understanding of what makes gameplay engaging (strong plus)
- Nice to have: experience in iGaming, casino games, slots, crash games, or casual game development environments
- Nice to have: basic understanding of game mechanics and high-level product metrics
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, flexible environment
