Medical Assistant – The Friendly Face of Our Practice

Are you a compassionate, organized Medical Assistant who enjoys helping families and keeping care running smoothly? As a Medical Assistant in our practice, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for every patient. You’ll often be the first clinical touchpoint for families, coordinating care, and ensuring each visit feels seamless.

Schedule - 32 hours per week, with rotating Saturdays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain and record patient vital signs; room patients and collect required specimens.
  • Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collect and process specimens, perform in-office laboratory testing, and prepare samples for external laboratory analysis.
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures in accordance with established protocols and training.
  • Maintain exam rooms, clinical areas, and medical equipment to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Uphold and promote PediaTrust core values in all patient and team interactions.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with practice protocols and infection control standards.
  • Support digital health workflows and related initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinical and operational needs.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and level of comfort with EPIC or other EMR system preferred

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • One year of experience in a clinical environment
  • Computer literacy

Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:

  • CPR certification
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
