About This Position
Social Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting the social media efforts of the Director of Sales (DOS) The primary focus for the Social Media Coordinator will be managing social media sites and platforms.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform office duties to support Sales including but not limited to photography, plan social media content, execute content onto third party sites
- Prepare weekly and monthly social media reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and administrate the social media databases to ensure data integrity for accurate reporting.
- Defines and creates community partnerships between the hotel and local vendors in order to create on-site and off-site activations for enhanced guest interaction and experience.
- Open and eager to learn new sales skills.
- Works in collaboration with all other hotel departments, including Sales, Operations and F&B
- Proactively strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization.
- Works to ensure all organization objectives assigned by the DOS are completed in a timely fashion.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement and communicates them clearly with the DOS.
- Work closely with all departments in hotel
- Champion on property social media in conjunction with Charlestowne Hotels marketing team and various creative media partners. This includes creating content and managing the hotel and restaurant social channels.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Physical requirements:
- Long hours, evenings and weekends are sometimes required.
- Light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Education & Experience:
- At least 1 year of hotel/restaurant social media experience or at least 2 year of related experience.
- Background in managing multiple business social media accounts.
- Must have a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
- Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Familiarity with Google Suite a plus
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and training.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
