Overview

This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 3 days a week at an assigned Legacy Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

As a Senior Business Consultant of Throughput Optimization Services, you’ll lead program support for throughput optimization initiatives across our health system.

Lead large, complex, cross functional projects with accountability for people and tasks. Demonstrates ability to develop project/program structure, detailed project management plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports. Works autonomously leading complex projects with technical components while ensuring process standardization and scalability. Excels at leading a resolution of cross-functional issues/risks (escalating if needed) and provides weekly and “Just in Time” status reporting to senior leadership using a customer focused dashboard.

Utilizes Legacy operating system best practices to drive continuous improvement by empowering frontline healthcare staff to identify and address root causes of challenges, fostering a culture of curiosity through active listening and asking insightful questions to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.



Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years project management experience required with technical projects preferred. Hospital/healthcare setting experience required.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and planning required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and apply problem solving skills in a self-directed manner.
  • Advanced understanding of hospital systems, including operational and technical systems.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with team members within and outside of own department.
  • Ability to drive data and technical strategy with multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Strong analytical skills to support technical and data strategic efforts.
  • In-depth knowledge of data-management applications and report development.
  • Excellent consulting skills to determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans representing multi-disciplinary perspectives.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
  • Strong organization, oral and written communication skills for effective interaction and collaboration with staff, senior leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated coaching and staff development and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders to influence change.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Legacy Operating System in both theory and application.
  • Ability to anticipate, initiate and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to be self-directed to accomplish goals and oversee direction of project.
  • Knowledge about social determinants of health, principles of diversity/equity/inclusion and culturally responsive practice with populations who have experience historical marginalization.
  • Ability to navigate electronic medical records and effectively utilize basic computer programs.
