About This Position
Shift Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday as required.
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
We are seeking qualified candidates for 2 Doffer positions on our C Shift team. This role is responsible for working with a production team and assist with set ups and perform needed production tasks. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong teamwork, effective communication skills, and the ability to provide feedback and direction within the scope of the role.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Doff, package and load material to specifications described on each customer order.
- Perform visual inspection of fiber and finished rolls.
- Remove all processed waste to its designated area.
- Ensure knowledge of tube cores, packaging materials and stock areas for each.
- Understand and execute mechanical/electrical parts of wind-up and its significant purposes.
- Follow all Safety process such as but not limited to; LOTO, Guard compliance, Following plant safety rules, etc.
- Report opportunities for improvement in safety/production
- Responsible to maintain good housekeeping and organize and put away materials, parts, tools in designated areas
- Other duties as assigned
- Work well with others under minimal supervision
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strongly prefer 4 years in manufacturing environment operating machine equipment successfully.
- Understands Feeds, Speeds, LOTO, etc.
- Read, interpret WTB production schedule and ordered pick lists.
- Read and follow work instructions and safety procedures/policies.
- Strong attention to detail
Math: Basic math, count, add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions. Read and Interpret Tape Measure. Read charts for Process control. Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and fractions. Ability to read and interpret charts used for process control.
Communication: Good oral and written skills. Able to interpret production documentation.
Computer: Utilize production software programs to perform equipment set up and make data entries.
Reasoning: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds
