Job Summary

The Technical Designer I Architecture independently performs basic design and develops technical aspects of projects, during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to project teams regarding building systems, detailing, code analysis, project documentation, construction administration, and other project-centric processes.
  • Provide technical detailing in a variety of construction materials,
  • systems, and building types.
  • Collaborate with designers and teams to translate design concepts into sound technical solutions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and exceptional knowledge of space programming, contract documents, detailing, specifications, team production management, strong design and graphic skills, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to become involved in and remain current on issues relating to a number of concurrent projects in various stages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and associates.
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills required.
