About the Role Reporting to a Director of Property Management, the Property Manager will manage the daily activities of a portfolio of commercial assets, which may include office, flex, retail, and industrial space. The objective is to optimize asset value, develop and maintain tenant and owner relationships, and increase revenue. This role will focus on properties in the Northern Virginia area with some travel to Maryland. Job-Type: Full-time, exempt Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM- 5 PM
Primary Responsibilities Property Operations Responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned portfolio to ensure that all site operations comply with the established policies and procedures, and the management agreement, and are consistent with TPMs overall objectives. Conduct formal site inspections in compliance with established standard operating policies and procedures. Create and maintain site-specific documentation, including property and tenant information, site operating manuals, and emergency operations manuals. Obtain proposals, award contracts, and manage third-party vendors and contractors. Oversee in-house building engineers and maintenance personnel. Ensure regulatory compliance and effective management of risk and liability. May be responsible for collecting tenant certificates of insurance and maintaining compliance. Other duties as assigned.
Financial and Lease Management Prepare annual budget, monthly financial variance reports, operations analysis, and leasing activity reports. Manage receivables to ensure timely rent collection. Oversee the completion of CAM reconciliations and ensure a smooth recovery process. Process and approve invoices, assuring accuracy and consistency with company policies. Understand Tenant Lease obligations and ensure compliance. Work closely with Lease Administration and the Accounting team regularly. Other duties as assigned.
Owner and Tenant Relations Cultivate and maintain positive, open relationships with Owners, Tenants, and Vendors at all times, ensuring their service needs align with leases and management agreements. Coordinate Tenant move-ins and move-outs, following detailed procedures. Uphold the TPM brand and ensure a positive customer experience, addressing Tenant satisfaction, building operations, lease, and management concerns. Other duties as assigned.
About You5+ years of commercial building management experience required.Proficient in financial accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.Skilled in MS Office.Experience working in Yardi Voyager and automated A/P systems.Possesses excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.Possess a strong customer service and tenant relations aptitude.Communicate effectively through written reports, analysis, and oral presentations.Ability to respond to others needs in a timely and courteous manner.
