Job Summary
The Sr Clinical Business Analyst will perform detailed requirements analysis, requirements documentation, and user acceptance testing. They will support tasks that require clinical subject matter knowledge to support analysis and quality assurance of new and existing technical clinical solutions while leveraging available clinical content, healthcare information, artifacts, value sets, and healthcare resources. This position will support cross-functional team’s including product management, data engineers, delivery, and project management.
This role will be responsible for:
- Develop and document clinical business requirements and workflows based on research protocols.
- Define patient value sets to support research protocols and cohort identification.
- Translate requirements into product designs, configurations, and use cases.
- Partner with Data Science teams on AI-driven clinical data extraction; validate accuracy and improve dataset quality and completeness for analytics and Life Sciences use cases.
- Work with healthcare data models and research datasets using SQL and other common querying methods.
- Understand and apply medical coding systems (ICD, CPT, SNOMED, etc.) to ensure accurate representation of clinical events and standardized data across workflows.
- Understand technologies that support modernized solution design.
- Present requirements and process flow to stakeholders and support testing and documentation.
- Review vendor-provided documentation and user manuals to support product solutions.
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or other relevant combination of training and experience (Preferred)
- Clinical Degree, Certification and/or License (Required)
- 4-7 years relevant work experience (Preferred)
- 5-10 years practical experience in providing business process and functional support for assigned product (Preferred)
- Appropriate healthcare background (Required)
- Up to 10% travel may be required
Additional Experience and Skills
- Previous experience as a business analyst
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of software engineering methods
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience working with protocols, ability to understand requirements of the protocol
- Experience with technical teams, and general technical knowledge
- Experience in Life Science, Real World Data, or Health Economics Research
- Knowledge of general Healthcare regulations
Compensation Range:
