DevOps Manager - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a DevOps Manager. In this pivotal hands-on role, you will drive deployment automation and manage client-facing cloud infrastructure. Your efforts will ensure site reliability and uphold security standards, creating a safer work environment for our clients. You will lead a team of Site Reliability and DevOps Engineers, fostering collaboration and enhancing automation to meet service level agreements. This impactful position is crucial in helping businesses function efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.Accountabilities
  • Provide technical guidance on DevOps best practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Develop clear and up-to-date documentation of team practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead sprint planning, implementation, standups, and demos.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Design strategies to enhance development delivery.
  • Proactively manage system capacity for current and future workloads.
  • Collaborate with Development and Data teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Implement security controls to identify vulnerabilities and manage security tools.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years in a lead role with multiple direct reports.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a development background and an emphasis on Azure and/or AWS.
  • 2+ years working with logging, SIEM and metrics tools, and vulnerability scanners.
  • In-depth experience with containers, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Practical experience in software development or operations using code and scripting.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Desire to learn and improve through knowledge sharing.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
