About This Position
I-Pulse Group is a global leader in Pulse Power Technology used in mining applications, including but not limited to minerals, oil & Gas and Geothermal.
I-Pulse Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management within our organization. The role will report to the VP of Operations and General Manager of Finance, with the responsibility for overseeing day-to-day financial operations. This position will facilitate financial insight, analysis, and business acumen to support operational and overall business strategy. A hands-on approach across all areas of finance will be necessary from transactional processing, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting, and will play a key role in implementing a group-wide finance system, policies, and processes, ensuring local statutory, regulatory, and business requirements are met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a financial management plan to ensure operational and strategic objectives can be met
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities that ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Oversee and actively support all local accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards, tax regulations, internal policies, and group finance processes, with responsibility for local statutory and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and publish monthly statements for internal and external stakeholders, monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights for financial planning
- Support project management and operational leaders while implementing an adaptive internal control system designed to safeguard assets from fraud and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Optimize and monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure operations have sufficient liquidity to meet obligations
- Supervise and mentor finance team members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership to support audits, statutory reporting, and group-level information requests as required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in finance, accounting, or CPA with 5+ years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- ERP system experience required (Odoo ERP beneficial but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and make strategic decisions
- Solid understanding of financial systems, ERP, accounting software, and spreadsheet data/analysis
- Knowledge of federal and state tax and reporting requirements

- Proven leadership skills with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
