Responsibilities

As a Manager or Senior Manager – Private Wealth Internal Sales with Hines, you will be responsible for overseeing Inside Sales Desk staff, adding value to brokerage clients, and exceeding sales goals. The Manager will plan, allocate, and monitor work to assure the attainment of department objectives; recommend appropriate staffing levels, provide input to the budget process, and other related people management actions.

  • Manage the team responsible for initiating and/or responding to telephone sales calls from/to new or prospective clients
  • Provide ongoing professional development of internal sales team through coaching, business planning, and facilitating training related to Hines products and sales process
  • Make proactive outbound phone calls to brokers to share ideas, provide accurate product information
  • Prepare sales reports for management
  • Work with senior management to develop the department's strategic plans, objectives, and goals
  • Travel to national and regional conferences to present products, build brand awareness, and establish rapport with prospective financial advisor partners
  • Attend strategic home office visits to establish relationships with key decision makers and encourage strategy alignment and product education
  • Assist in interview and hiring process for internal sales positions
  • Track metrics to make data-informed decisions about inside sales strategy
  • Collaborate with various departments including sales enablement, marketing, operations, and fund management to communicate needs, challenges, and opportunities and ultimately support fundraising endeavors
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies; incorporate relevant insights into sales approach and strategy
  • Ensure adoption of new technologies, processes and tools to optimize sales team effort
  • Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and protocol and work with Sales Enablement to provide solutions and improve productivity
  • Meeting monthly performance and service level goals, including internal customer satisfaction
  • Act as liaison to sales management and communicate client needs, market trends and competitive information


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Two or more years of inside sales and people management experience in the financial services industry
  • Series 7and 63 licenses required, Series 24 within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to effectively lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals and drive sales goals
  • Ability to think strategically, provide direction, be an effective communicator, influence others and have strong work commitment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team driven environment
  • Strong knowledge of investment market and company products and services
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn while ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate superior project management and multi-tasking skills, frequently managing multiple projects at one-time
  • Well-developed strengths in decision making, problem solving, initiative, follow through and collaboration
  • Work indoors approximately 100% of the time
  • Operate personal computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of time
  • Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
