About This Position
Winter Growth has a long history of compassionate service to residents and daycare participants in Columbia and Olney, MD. We are currently seeking new team members for our Life Enrichment Team in Olney, MD If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment to create meaningful programs for seniors with memory impairments and adults with disabilities, this opportunity is for you! Our Life Enrichment Associates/Leaders will collaborate with staff to develop therapeutic programs that energize and engage our clients on a daily basis.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR LEA TEAM: - Collaborate closely with our dedicated team to design engaging and meaningful activities for clients, considering their unique cognitive and physical abilities as well as personal interests. This includes adapting activities to ensure they are accessible and enjoyable for all participants. - Program Creation for Special Events: Planning and implementing special programs and activities for holidays and other significant events throughout the year. These programs aim to foster a sense of community and celebration among clients. - Team Participation: Our team is actively engaged in an interdisciplinary team, working alongside other professionals to ensure that each client's individual goals and needs are met effectively.

Experience: Candidates are preferred to have prior experience working with individuals suffering from memory impairment and/or other age-related illnesses. This experience helps in understanding the specific needs and challenges faced by this population.
- Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to walk, stand, and assist in pushing wheelchairs for extended periods throughout the day, ensuring that all clients can participate in activities comfortably and safely.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills are necessary for maintaining schedules, programs, and documentation, as well as for communicating effectively with team members.
- Essential Skills: Ideal candidates will possess attributes such as creativity to design unique activities, flexibility to adapt to changing needs, and a deep passion for helping others thrive in a supportive environment.
