The Senior Business Development Manager will focus on cross-border payments and FX, helping clients optimize international transactions and risk management. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing consultative solutions that address complex business and regulatory needs. Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will lead client onboarding, solution delivery, and mentor junior team members. Accountabilities:- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across financial institutions, money service businesses, fintechs, and other regulated entities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor on FX and cross-border payment strategies
- Deliver consultative solutions including FX hedging strategies, spot and forward contracts, and payment automation tools
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to position the organization as a thought leader
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices in business development
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in business development or sales within cross-border payments, FX, or financial services
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment
- Experience navigating complex financial institution buying processes including compliance, risk, treasury, and operations teams
- Deep understanding of FX markets, hedging instruments, and international payment processes
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in global payments and financial compliance
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker capable of identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
