About the Role
Redhorse is seeking a senior technology leader to drive the design and delivery of secure data and AI-enabled platforms supporting mission-critical environments. This role combines technical architecture leadership, program delivery, and organizational scaling to enable advanced analytics, AI adoption, and compliant enterprise infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience delivering large-scale platforms and platform transformations, implementing regulatory and security frameworks, and leading cross-functional engineering teams in complex stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership & Architecture:
- Lead architecture and implementation of modern cloud-native data platforms and AI-ready infrastructure
- Design scalable microservices and API-driven architectures enabling secure data exchange and analytics
- Establish enterprise data governance, semantic layers, and role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks
- Provide technical oversight for AI/ML integration into operational platforms
- Program & Delivery Leadership:
- Serve as senior technical advisor to government and commercial stakeholders
- Lead delivery of complex modernization programs across engineering, DevSecOps, and analytics teams
- Translate mission objectives into executable technical roadmaps and delivery plans
- Establish Agile delivery practices and engineering governance standards
- Ensure operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness
- Security, Compliance & Governance:
- Implement secure architectures aligned with federal and industry regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, SOC2, SOX, GDPR, or equivalent)
- Develop auditability, traceability, and data protection frameworks
- Support zero-trust and API security implementations
- Align technical solutions with enterprise risk and compliance objectives
- Team & Organizational Leadership:
- Build and scale high-performing engineering organizations
- Mentor technical leaders and establish career development frameworks
- Collaborate across product, operations, and executive leadership teams
- Drive stakeholder alignment across technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform architecture
- 5+ years leading engineering or technical delivery teams
- Demonstrated experience modernizing enterprise platforms or infrastructure at scale
- Deep expertise in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience implementing secure data platforms and governance frameworks
- Strong experience designing APIs and distributed systems architectures
- Experience delivering solutions within regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to executive stakeholders
- Experience supporting federal government or regulated industry clients
- Background implementing AI/ML-enabled platforms or data monetization strategies
- Experience with Snowflake or modern data warehouse architectures
- Knowledge of RBAC, zero-trust security models, and identity architectures
- Experience scaling engineering organizations and establishing Agile operating models
- Familiarity with payment systems, fraud detection, or risk analytics platforms
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications
