This role is responsible for leading the operational readiness and commercial execution of a critical oncology imaging program. The Commercial Operations Director will oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including manufacturing, logistics, and distribution, ensuring seamless product launch and ongoing commercial success. This position bridges strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership, providing analytics, process improvements, and vendor management across a complex network of contract manufacturers, distributors, and logistics partners. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial, driving efficiency, compliance, and scalability. Success in this role is measured by reliable product supply, optimized operations, and the ability to support market growth while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. The role offers a dynamic, international environment with opportunities to innovate and impact patient outcomes globally.
Accountabilities:- Lead the operational readiness and commercial distribution strategy, including vendor contracting, process development, and coordination of logistics and supply chain activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement technical transfer activities, site training, and proficiency programs.
- Oversee vendor, CMO, and distributor performance through KPIs, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain operational reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to provide visibility across manufacturing, distribution, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, supporting audits and CAPA resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and scale commercial operations sustainably.
- Coordinate complex supply chain activities to meet clinical and commercial demand across multiple regions.
Requirements:
- PharmD, M.S., or B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences; advanced degree preferred.
- 57+ years of leadership experience in commercial operations, development, or production of PET biomarkers or radiopharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, commercial product development regulations (21 CFR 210, 211, 212; USP <825>), and radiopharmaceutical supply chain considerations.
- Proven experience managing external partners, CMOs, and distribution vendors with performance-driven results.
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across global, interdisciplinary teams.
- Adaptable, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required to perform job responsibilities.
