Cyber Recovery Architecture Managers must be experienced in the Respond and Recover Security Functions including but not limited to cyber recovery, vulnerability management, and resilient architectures. Managers lead diverse teams of consultants with varying skills to meet and exceed client expectations through scoped engagements. This role will lead multiple client engagements (including recovery assessments, infrastructure dependency mappings, etc.) or support larger sized client engagements. Senior Consultants in general contribute to client delivery by executing the necessary technical or process-focused tasks, producing high-quality architectural and security artifacts, and presenting findings and recommendations throughout an engagement. Senior Consultants may be assigned a Project Coordinator role to ensure delivery engagements adhere to the associated timeline, support project reporting requirements, and maintain alignment to the intended objectives. Senior Consultants are the primary leaders of AHEAD's security delivery teams responsible for assessments, designs, and operational documentation.Managers also support business development activities alongside a sales specialist to help qualify client needs and expectations, particularly where security architecture, design tradeoffs, or solution feasibility must be evaluated. They may be directly engaged in client-facing interactions to assess current-state environments, articulate future-state security architectures, and produce and/or present sales proposals or support client-visioning workshops.Lastly, AHEAD Senior Consultants leverage their visibility and experience to contribute to the continuous improvement and maturation of in-practice service offerings and capabilities. This includes influencing architectural standards, design patterns, and security approaches, as well as positively impacting the service portfolio and individuals on the team through thought leadership and mentorship.
Responsibilities- Lead cyber resilience assessments of clients including requesting and analyzing evidence of recovery program maturity, recovery technology configurations, cloud environment implementations, backup processes, network segmentation, and access controls.
- Write consistent, detailedobservations and practical recommendations based on risk to the programs.
- Draft detailed architecture designs including key recovery technology (Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault) configurations
- Proactively advise clients on Isolated Recovery Environment design principles including but not limited to network segmentation, least privilege access, and time synchronization.
- Perform highly technical business impact analysis including infrastructure dependency mapping for development of bill of materials
- Lead and participate in tabletop exercises and development of Cyber Recovery Plans, Procedures, Runbooks, and Playbooks.
- Facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and planning workshops for small to medium-sized engagements, anchoring discussions in architectural principles, security patterns, and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure customer expectations are appropriately set and managed.
- Drive and manage objectives, requirements gathering, project tasks and milestones, project status, dependencies, and timelines to ensure successful, on-time delivery aligned to business objectives.
- Lead or contribute to solution architecture and design discussions, including the development of secure, segregated, and resilient technology architectures that support clients' business continuity, cyber resilience, and recovery objectives.
- Consult on solution designs that employ strong security controls, constrained trust boundaries, restricted access models, and operational separation from primary production environments.
- Create and finalize project deliverables, to include peer review for collateral developed by others on a delivery team.
- Present deliverables to client executive management.
- Apply knowledge of AHEAD’s project lifecycle management activities to effectively support delivery engagements throughout the duration of a project.
- Support business development pursuits through client discovery meetings.
- Represent service offerings during the sales cycle, including project scoping, proposal development, and presenting proposals to clients.
- Provide consultative input during sales cycles related to secure architecture, recovery strategies, and solution feasibility.
- Apply knowledge of AHEAD’s sales management lifecycle to effectively support sales opportunities throughout the duration of a proposal.
- Assist Principal Consultants and Security Sales Specialists with engagement scoping and the creation of proposal collateral.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in a minimum of four security domains or three security solutions.
- Participate in the development, enhancement, and standardization of in-practice service offerings, primarily services related to cyber resilience, secure recovery, and architecture design.
- Enable more than one service capability.
- Maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of current and future state IT trends, technologies, and standards.
- Lend support and mentorship to junior consultants and peers.
- In addition to leading multiple projects, Managers will have direct reports and be responsible for annual reviews, ongoing mentoring, and guidance.
- Undergraduate technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT Management, or Cybersecurity preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 10 years professional, relevant experience, with at least 2 years in people / project management
- 3 professional and/or technical certifications, including industry-recognized certifications which align to AHEAD’s Security service portfolio
- Demonstrated experience consulting on secure architecture and/or solution design within complex enterprise environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite)
- Comfortable addressing groups of people in virtual or in-person settings
- Ability to solve complex, abstract problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good listener, ability to connect with different personalities

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
