Pay Range

$66,100.00-$90,900.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Internal Audit Director or Lead Auditor, the Auditor completes internal audit assignments and other critical projects for Berkshire Hathaway and the JM senior leadership team. The Auditor will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating internal audits and related projects and works with senior management. The position plays a key role in managing Sarbanes Oxley compliance and may interact with Berkshire Internal Audit, on a limited basis, with assistance from the JM Internal Audit Director.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Assess project or process level risk, analyze complex processes and develop appropriate audit plans
  • Lead the execution of global financial, operational and information technology audits
  • Develop and prepare effective audit reports
  • Manage outside service providers with assistance from the Director or Lead Auditor
  • Analyze company processes, identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvement
  • Establish effective business relationships with staff of JM business units and corporate departments
  • May supervise one associate auditor on a project basis
  • Presents audit reports to mid-level or senior management
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field with a minimum of 2 years internal audit or other financial related experience
  • Master's degree in business administration preferred
  • Basic ability to schedule, plan and execute two or more simultaneously audits
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Proficient in audit analytics software including ACL
  • Proficient with SAP, ERP and GRC (workflow processes, security, configurations
  • Proficient with COSO and COBIT methodology to perform IT audits
  • Working knowledge of FCPA compliance
  • Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
  • Ability to work in complex international environments
  • Working knowledge of IIA standards and their application to JM Internal Audit
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to develop process improvement recommendations and drive related change management activities
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organizations, both internally and externally
  • Heavy travel required (30 or more days per year)
  • May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds
  • Work environment is typical of an office setting
