Remote UX Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Design Lead - REMOTE. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing a modern web-based acquisitions system, helping to streamline the contracting processes for government agencies. You will lead a team to ensure that design strategies align with user needs and accessibility requirements. Your expertise in UX and UI will directly impact how acquisition teams and suppliers collaborate effectively throughout the acquisition lifecycle. This position primarily operates remotely, while also ensuring that the team maintains a strong connection with clients whenever necessary.
Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary authority for UX/UI strategy and execution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of user needs and the approved design approach.
  • Define and enforce design standards, style guides, and interaction patterns.
  • Ensure cohesive user journeys across pre-award, award, and post-award activities.
  • Lead the full UX lifecycle including research, ideation, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Translate complex acquisition workflows into intuitive user experiences.
  • Design workflows to improve adoption and productivity for the federal workforce.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
  • Ensure design solutions align with user needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate effectively within an Agile framework and manage design work.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Design Lead on complex web platforms.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and project lifecycle practices.
  • Proven ability to work within Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern web technologies and front-end constraints.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable interfaces deployed in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
