OUTSIDE GOLF STAFF

Reports To: Golf Professionals

Department: Golf

Status Type: Part-time, Hourly

Salary: $13.00 – 15.00

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Outside Golf Staff is an integral part of the golf operations team at Mission Hills Country Club, ensuring that members and guests receive exceptional service while enjoying their golf experience. Outside Golf Staff will provide assistance with golf carts, bag handling, practice range operations, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of Mission Hills golf facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Member and Guest Services

Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Assist with loading and unloading golf bags and equipment.
Provide information about the day's events, course conditions, and club facilities as needed.

Golf Cart Management

Prepare and stage golf carts for daily use, ensuring they are clean, fully charged, and stocked with essentials (e.g., scorecards, pencils, towels).
Inspect carts regularly for maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
Clean and store carts properly at the end of the day.

Facility Operations & Management

Set up and maintain the driving range and practice greens.
Ensure range balls are clean, plentiful, and neatly arranged.
Monitor usage of the practice facilities to ensure safety and organization.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bag drop, cart barn, and surrounding areas.
Assist with bag storage and retrieval for members as required.

Course Support

Assist with on-course player needs as directed.
Assist with tournament setup and breakdown, including cart staging, signage, and scoring materials.
Support other golf operations staff during tournaments, special events, or peak periods.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional or management team.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Minimum age: 16
Must have a valid driver's license.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical stamina to lift and carry golf bags, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Previous experience in golf operations or customer service is preferred but not required.
