Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Salary Range: $35K-$48K (annual salary)
Location: Multisite (Houston & Austin Metropolitan Areas)
Reports To: Human Resources Leader / HR Director
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and discreet Human Resources Assistant to provide direct support to the HR leader in managing operations across multiple locations. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, strong administrative skills, and a service-oriented approach to employee interactions. Familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR leader, ensuring smooth execution of HR processes across all sites.
- Maintain and protect confidential employee records, benefit documentation, and sensitive HR data.
- May serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits, assisting with inquiries, and troubleshooting issues.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation and processes in alignment with company policies.
- Assist in compiling and reporting HR metrics, including turnover, headcount, and benefit utilization trends.
- Assist with organizational event coordinating.
- Support HRIS data entry, reporting, and system maintenance—experience with Paylocity preferred.
- When required, coordinate with managers across companies and locations to support staffing, compliance, and employee relations efforts.
- Help prepare reports, track compliance deadlines, and support internal audits or external requests.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of HR administrative experience, preferably supporting leadership in a multi-location environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and resolve employee concerns effectively.
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Ability to travel to various company locations as needed.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
