Director of AV Operations at Latitude Inc – Havertown, Pennsylvania

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all operational functions for an audiovisual (AV) integration company. This role oversees project execution, service delivery, logistics, field operations, engineering coordination, and operational processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Director of Operations will drive operational efficiency, develop scalable systems, and align cross-functional teams—including sales, engineering, project management, and service—to support company growth and profitability.

• Lead and manage all operational departments including project management, field installation, service/support, warehouse/logistics, and engineering coordination.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and growth objectives.
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure operational efficiency, project profitability, and team productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational processes.
• Oversee the successful execution of AV integration projects from handoff through completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to scope and quality standards.
• Standardize project management processes, documentation, and reporting.
• Monitor project performance, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Build, mentor, and manage teams including project managers, field technicians, service staff, and operational support personnel.
• Develop staffing plans to support company growth.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and professional development.
• Implement and refine operational workflows for design handoff, procurement, installation, commissioning, and service.
• Optimize resource planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
• Identify and deploy operational tools, software, and automation to improve efficiency.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure efficient use of company resources.
• Work with finance and project teams to monitor job costing, margins, and financial performance.
• Improve operational profitability through cost control, efficiency improvements, and process standardization.
• Partner with the sales team to ensure smooth project handoffs and accurate project scope.
• Collaborate with engineering/design teams to ensure buildable and scalable system designs.
• Work with service teams to ensure successful system commissioning and post-installation support.
• Support leadership in strategic planning and operational scaling.
• Oversee procurement and vendor relationships for AV equipment and installation materials.
• Ensure efficient warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with key AV manufacturers and distributors.

• 8–12+ years of experience in operations, project delivery, or technical services within AV integration, low-voltage systems, or a related industry.
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of AV system integration, installation processes, and project lifecycles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and operational teams.
• Experience with operational metrics, budgeting, and process improvement.
