Copper Scrap Buyer - Senior at HAILIANG COPPER TEXAS INC – Sealy, Texas

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-

-Responsible for the acquisition of non-ferrous copper, brass scrap metals, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and grow partnerships with domestic suppliers. This includes consistent communication and regular travel to meet end objectives.
- Employ negotiation skills that combine the characteristics of a professional relationship and a well-developed strategy.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends within the non-ferrous metals esp. copper scrap markets.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans for generating new sourcesl.
- Continuously enhance understanding of the copper scrap metal markets, including various trading tools like terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 5+ years of successful experience in the non-ferrous esp. copper scrap industry.
- An extensive professional network of suppliers within copper scrap industry.
- Ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly process information, and make decisions based on market dynamics.
- Team player with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and effect change.
- Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
