Job Summary:
Seeking a Plant Manager to oversee daily plant and warehouse operations within a food safety inspection and logistics environment. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations, meeting production schedules, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Plant Manager will lead plant personnel while coordinating closely with customers, regulatory inspectors, and internal leadership to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

As a Plant Manager, You Will:

• Lead daily plant operations, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison with USDA inspectors, preparing documentation and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs, maintaining a safe environment for employees and plant operations.
• Oversee warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, inventory security, and distribution processes.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to manage project timelines, bids, logistics planning, and inspection schedules.
• Implement Good Warehousing Practices and operational procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and operational expenses, providing budget recommendations and tracking lifecycle costs of plant equipment.
• Manage staffing levels, shift schedules, and resource allocation to meet customer demand and production requirements.
• Maintain documentation and records for inbound/outbound goods, regulatory compliance, and operational reporting.

Skills/Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in plant or operations management.
• Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Strong understanding of operations management, logistics, and warehouse practices.
• Experience managing budgets and P&L performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Masters degree is a plus.
• Certifications (Preferred)
• Lean Manufacturing Black Belt or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
