We are seeking a proactive, detailoriented team member to join our CRE Debt/Loan Resource Group. In this role, you will manage your own portfolio of loans, lead underwriting and ongoing credit analysis, and partner closely with teams across investments, legal, development, and servicing. Your work will directly influence decisionmaking and help optimize the value of multifaceted, multimilliondollar assets.

- Oversee, review, and provide final recommendations on the underwriting and valuation of existing CRE debt investments (mainly office, hospitality, MF, and industrial) by creating 5-10 year cash flow proformas.
- Update fund leadership at monthly meetings to track each asset and ensure loan compliance
- Create and present quarterly asset reports that concisely summarize (a) loan, (b) collateral, (c) market, and (d) sponsor -- risks, mitigants and trends.
- Lead cross-functional coordination among various CIM departments, including Investments, Legal, Development, Leasing, Property Management and Portfolio Oversight to leverage in-house expertise when conducting analysis.
- Provide research-driven recommendations and analysis with respect to lease approvals, construction draws, rebalancing requirements, asset dispositions, special servicing, and REO decisions.
- Own senior-level sponsor and borrower relationships, serving as a primary escalation point and guiding resolution of complex issues.
- Oversee asset-level compliance with loan covenants (i.e. debt yield tests, cash flow sweeps, extension tests).
- Direct and manage external servicing and construction consultants, including review of fund borrower loan advance requests.
- Set expectations and best practices with CIM’s internal and external loan servicers to ensure data integrity, efficient execution, and to maintain strong borrower relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or other quantitative or related fields preferred
- 5+ years’ professional experience working with an investment firm, private equity firm, or similar organization, focusing on real estate credit and adjacent sectors, and/or credit investment experience. CRE Loan Asset/Credit Risk Management experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Argus experience is a plus.
