Position Summary:
The Department of Biological Sciences at Arkansas State University (A-State) invites applications for a full-time Instructor position in biological sciences beginning August 2026. Preference will be given to applicants holding a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a terminal degree in a health professions field. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student success. The ability to teach majors and non-majors courses in Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology is highly desirable.
This is a renewable 9-month, non-tenure track position, with regular opportunities to teach during summer terms.

Ability to teach majors and non-majors courses in anatomy and physiology and microbiology is desirable
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Master's degree in Biological Sciences, or related field.

- Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in both lecture and laboratory settings.
- Maintain appropriate course records, assessments, and grading consistent with departmental standards.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of course offerings.
- Stay current with best practices in biology education and integrate innovative teaching strategies.
- Contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
