Electronics Buyer at Zentech Manufacturing I – Bloomington, Illinois

Full Time Position Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

The Electronics Buyer is responsible for managing the purchasing of electronic components, equipment, and products for Zentech's Bloomington, IL facility. This role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring product availability, managing inventory, and maintaining relationships with key vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the electronics market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to make data-driven purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with our key suppliers
• Communicates and collaborates with multiple departments to make purchasing decisions to meet deadlines
• Understand internal processes and how buyer role affects upstream and downstream tasks and proactively mitigate possible issues.
• Obtain quotes, lead times and understand required documentation for specific parts or customers
• Collaborate with the team and customers to find solutions to product issues.

• Work with vendor partners on delivery lead times, shipping compliances, product quality, and other key initiatives/requests
• Run reports and extrapolate data to assist in job functions

• Assist with special projects, like continuous improvement, special reporting or other duties as assigned.
• Assist in workflow configurations and understanding of system requirements in purchasing

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing
