Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering design calculations and translate design criteria into completed projects.
- Work on projects including bridges (prestressed concrete and steel plate girder), retaining walls, and box culverts.
- Develop technical reports, investigatory studies, and structural detailing.
- Ensure compliance with client standards, DOT regulations, and engineering codes.
- Assist Project Managers with contract development, cost proposals, and technical scope of services.
- Lead project tasks, monitor budgets, and ensure timely delivery within cost parameters.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in bridge design and transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- DOT experience is mandatory.
- Prior experience in consulting engineering or construction industry preferred.
- Strong proficiency in engineering principles, design software, and project execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- $2,000 Sign-on Bonus.
