About This Position

Job Overview: Supervises coordinates and participates in activities of employees performing routine standardized biological and biochemical tests as well as more complex procedures on blood that assist physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients, Assumes responsibility for recognizing results or problems that require referral to Medical Director or Laboratory Director or Manager, Performs additional tasks as requested by the Chair of Pathology or his designee

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent based on CLIA and CAP,
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in area of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Knowledge of specialized principles and techniques in Hematology Coagulation and Microbiology which would normally be obtained through formal academic training and experience,
