Program: Specialized Program for Students with Autism and Developmental Disabilities
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $60,000- $74,000 / Hourly: $48.70 - $60.06
AnthroMed Education is seeking a committed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team working at a specialized program supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome. The successful candidate will work with a diverse caseload of 12 junior high students across two classrooms, focusing on enhancing communication skills and supporting developmental goals. Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students, utilizing a range of evidence-based strategies and tools, including AAC (TouchChat on iPad) as needed.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform therapy goals and monitor progress.
- Utilize the newly renovated classrooms, which feature a connected kitchen and living area, to incorporate life skills training into therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- PEL License
- Familiarity with AAC systems, specifically TouchChat, is a plus.
