About This Position
Lake Regional Health System is looking for an energetic, dedicated Inventory Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.
Inventory Specialists work diligently to continue to develop supply chain proficiency. This position evaluates and provides supplies and equipment needed on the nursing units and in other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives verbal and written orders in the department and by telephone and acts accordingly.
- Conducts daily inventory supplies on nursing units and restocks those missing after utilizing proper procedures on the computer system.
- Receives deliveries as required.
- Posts outgoing mail, sorts incoming mail, and places in designated places.
- Delivers emergency items as required or requested.
- Assists in the maintenance, care, and cleanliness of supplies and equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of all work areas.
- Awareness of supplies and their locations.
- Learns various routines and use of the computer system.
- Other duties as required and as directed by the Supply Chain Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask
- Weekends as needed
- Annual influenza vaccinations are required.
- 16 & 17-year-olds are welcome to apply. Must be currently attending high school or actively working towards equivalency.
