Square One Concepts manages Bourbon & Bones Chophouse & Bar, Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Famous 48, and Wasted Grain.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing bank and credit card transactions, and other related tasks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial activities and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

· Review and transact bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis.

· Review and transact location payroll transactions.

· Along with the AP specialist, lead communication with vendors to resolve any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.

· Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals, reconciling accounts, and generating reports.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing.

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as aging reports and cash flow analysis.

· Support the Finance team with ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.

· Stay updated on accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Proven experience and aptitude in general accounting roles (2-3 years minimum).

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

· Experience in multi-unit businesses and industries.

· Novice to intermediate proficiency utilizing accounting software and MS Excel.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance is a plus.

· Prior experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is desirable but not mandatory.

Systems Used:

· Paylocity (HR, payroll, and employee Information)

· Plate IQ (invoicing & payments)

· Restaurant 365 (inventory management, finance, and reporting)

· Microsoft 365

· Dropbox/One Drive
