Job Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

Deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across our Salesforce platform, includes Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and more. This role will focus primarily on custom development and integration, while also supporting administrative platform management, release readiness, and feature enablement and enhancement. The Salesforce Developer is a hands-on Salesforce expert with a strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration frameworks, paired with solid administrative experience to deliver well-rounded, impactful solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Custom Development & Automation
    • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura, SOQL/SOSL, Custom Metadata, and asynchronous processing.
    • Build and support platform event-based and API-driven integrations across enterprise systems.
    • Develop reusable components and contribute to a scalable architecture strategy.
    • Conduct Code reviews, enforce development standards, and support technical quality assurance.
    • Create and validate proof-of-concept (POC) solutions for new features or architectural approaches.
  • Platform Administration & Support
    • Configure and manage Salesforce features, including custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, profiles, roles, and permission sets.
    • Build and maintain flows and process automation using Flow Builder; assist in migrating legacy automations
    • Support user management, license provisioning, and environment access.
    • Monitor system health, perform release readiness reviews, and implement Salesforce updates.
    • Respond to and resolve administrative support tickets and platform issues.
  • Platform Integration & Data Synchronization
    • Implement and maintain secure, reliable integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, and platform events.
    • Design and support automation that ensures data consistency across Salesforce and connected systems.
    • Monitor and optimize performance of data flows and integrations.
    • Support release management and deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Project Execution & Collaboration
    • Partner with technical leads, architects, and stakeholders to understand business goals and define technical requirements.
    • Support the full software development lifecycle including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and documentation.
    • Collaborate with admins and product owner/business analysts to align solutions with security, usability, and scalability standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • 3+ years of Salesforce administration experience
  • Expert in Apex, LWC, Triggers, Flows, and declarative automation
  • Solid experience with integration patterns and knowledge in platform event frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Copado, DevOps
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II strongly preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator and/or Advanced Administrator certification preferred
  • Experience with Service Cloud configuration and data model
  • Experience with Data Cloud is a plus

JOB SPECIFICATIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment: This position is hybrid in the Chicago, area.

Positions Type/Standard Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday.

Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Physical Demands: Speak, hear, and see, and to use hand and fingers for computer keyboard and phone. Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Reach above head to pull paper attachments.

Pay Range:

$95,900-$134,200

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan which is based on company performance and individual performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience, education, certifications, skill level and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
