Tool & Die Machinist at LAVELLE INDUSTRIES INC. – Burlington, Wisconsin

Join our team! An industry leader since 1912, Lavelle Industries has a unique opportunity for a Tool & Die Machinist to join our Burlington, WI Tooling team. The Tool & Die Machinist will focus on efficient and effective repair and manufacture of molds, dies, machine parts, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and hand tools. This is a highly visible position within the company, critical to the advancement and growth of Lavelle that will work with the Lavelle engineering team, R&D team, & operations team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Perform set up and operation of manual and CNC milling machines, grinders, saws, drills, lathes, and other tool room equipment.
• Repair and manufacture molds and dies.
• Fabricate and repair machine components, jigs, fixtures, etc. from drawings and samples.
• Appropriate and effective communications – written and oral.

“Right fit” candidates for this role will have education and experience suitable for the role. This includes:

• Must have 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machine tool control.
• The ideal candidate is one who is experienced with all facets of mold repair and manufacture.
• HS Diploma and Machinist Journeyman or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Confident, autonomous self-starter. Comfortable performing multifunctional tasks while achieving desired results.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, responsible and positive.
• Collaborative and constructive relationship with manufacturing staff, and management.
• Organized to perform multifunctional tasks without adversely affecting results
