Description: HTI is seeking a motivated, experienced Sales Engineer or Technical Sales Specialist for a large international manufacturing company that provides advanced steam and water management systems to large hospitals and medical facilities. This is a direct-hire, full-time, remote/hybrid position located in Houston, TX. This is a home-office based role when not in the field meeting with customers in the Houston area. The base salary range is $90,000 - $135,000 / year, plus up to 40%+ bonus (paid out monthly, with 40% guaranteed for the first year). Total first year income for this employee will range from $126,000 - $154,000, plus fixed and variable rate monthly reimbursement for vehicle and mileage.

The company offers in-depth training for new Sales Engineers on their specific products and services, as well as advanced internal software systems, well-established/proven sales processes, and a global support team of experienced Applications Engineers available to assist with technical questions at any time. Requirements:
- Must currently reside in the Houston, TX metropolitan area
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing/Communications, Engineering, or a similar/applicable field of study
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Technical Sales Specialist, or Engineer with an EPC/engineering firm, facilities contractor, hospital facilities department, or equipment manufacturer that provides similar mechanical/utilities products and services to large industrial or healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with steam systems, water management, and/or utilities operations and design within industrial or healthcare settings; technical and commercial experience in healthcare utilities, sterilization, HVAC, domestic hot water and/or steam applications strongly preferred
- Must be self-driven, dynamic, high-achieving professional with strong teamwork, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven competency in value-based and consultative selling methodologies
- Project management experience is a plus
- Ability to effectively navigate complex hospital organizational structures and influence decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups
- Familiarity with healthcare facility compliance and regulatory considerations is a plus

Job duties include:
- Develop hospital accounts within the Houston territory by leveraging both hunter and farmer sales approaches aligned with the pre-established sales plan/strategy and target list
- Provide new hospital clients with a comprehensive understanding of the company’s steam and thermal
- energy solutions, emphasizing patient safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Determine sales potential of companies, prioritize accounts, and develop action plans to penetrate the market, including cold calling and canvassing techniques
- Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to identify compliance, performance, and operational improvement opportunities
- Drive successful conversion of identified solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders through structured consultative selling
- Expand market share within targeted accounts in the region
- Ensure customers receive accurate and timely quotations for products/services and expedite orders as needed
- Ability to conduct presentations for customers showcasing value creation and return on investment
- Collaborate with external partners, engineering firms and installation contractors to ensure accurate design, installation, and execution
- Ensure that all equipment, solutions and services align with the customer’s regulatory and industry requirements
- Actively participate in sales on-boarding program, sales training and hospitals focused education programs
- Engage with ASHE local chapter and healthcare industry bodies supporting their education programs, bringing innovation and collecting the voice of the customer
- Train end users and channel partners on products and services through informal sessions, lunch & learn sessions and formal presentations
